Due to the Spring rains, Cottrell Country Farm planted their okra very late in the season. However, it turned out to be a blessing. While most home grown okra is over by now, our okra is flurishing. The plants are over six feet tall. I’ve even had to start topping the plants. The mild, sometimes hot, Fall weather has continued to make our okra flower. I’m harvesting sometimes twice a day. This year, I planted three types of okra, burgundy, cow horn, and Clemson. All have a wonderful taste, no matter how you cook your okra. The Hillsboro Farmers market will end at the end of October, so come and get our okra while they last. Our okra is farm raised and chemical free.
FARM FRESH OKRA

After retirement I'm living my life long dream of farming. Although our farm is small, it is just the right size to produce farm fresh vegetables for individual sales at the farmer market and directly from the farm. We pride in only supplying the freshest, all natural, produce. View more posts
